Peaceful Glenshee
"Have you ever heard of a glen called Glenshee
Where stories abound of fairies living free?
They once played loads of mischief amongst Glenshee men
Like the time when the kirk was to move down the glen.
After building had started, the next day the men found
All their work undone, stones and tools scattered around.
Working hard all day long, they were puzzled the next day,
The structure had been removed in a mischievous play.
And for days it went on as the men persisted,
And each day they came back and nothing subsisted
To the point they gave up and the kirk never moved.
And as there was no trace and nothing could be proved,
They blamed the fairies but forgave them straight away
To restore order and avoid more dismay.
Travellers, be wary. If you come to Glenshee,
Never provoke fairies as they still live here free."
